How much is a transfer between Dakar and AIBD airport?
An AIBD airport transfer costs 30,000 FCFA including tax one way and 60,000 FCFA including tax return, the trip being charged in each direction. The fare is fixed and quoted before booking: it is set by distance and does not depend on the hour. Driver, fuel, toll and parking are included in that amount. A prepaid Airport Pack of 5 Dakar to AIBD transfers is 125,000 FCFA including tax.
What does the quoted price include?
The fare covers the professional driver, fuel, toll charges and parking charges. Published fares include tax for private clients.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking at least 24 hours ahead is recommended to guarantee a vehicle. Dakar VTC takes requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on WhatsApp, including last-minute bookings subject to availability.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card, Wave, Orange Money, PayPal, bank transfer, or any other method agreed with Dakar VTC. Transfers and one-off trips are paid when you book; for some clients, and subject to prior agreement from Dakar VTC, payment can be made directly to the driver. The Airport Pack is paid in full when you subscribe. Car-and-driver hires and quoted services require a 50% deposit when the quote is approved, the balance on the day of the service at the latest.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancelling more than 24 hours before the trip is free. Between 12 and 24 hours before, 50% of the amount is due. Less than 12 hours before, the full amount is due.
How many passengers and bags per vehicle?
Our SUVs (Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson) carry 1 to 4 passengers, with four 23 kg suitcases and two cabin bags. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado also carries 1 to 4 passengers, with six 23 kg suitcases and two cabin bags. Every vehicle is air conditioned with WiFi, USB sockets and a bottle of water. For groups, our minibuses are quoted individually.
Do you serve regions outside Dakar?
Yes. A day with a car and driver leaving Dakar for the regions starts at 95,000 FCFA including tax per day depending on the destination, up to 12 consecutive hours and 100 km, then 300 FCFA per extra kilometre and 10,000 FCFA per hour started beyond 12 hours. Saly is on the price list: 40,000 FCFA including tax from Dakar and 30,000 FCFA including tax from AIBD. Diamniadio, Lac Rose and other destinations are quoted individually.
Are the vehicles and passengers insured?
Yes. Every Dakar VTC vehicle is insured for carrying passengers in line with the regulations in force in Senegal, and passengers are covered in the event of an accident.
How do I book a private driver in Dakar?
